Family Evening Programs

Family Evening Programs are fun and wholesome activities provided to families camping in Townsend's commercial campgrounds.

Mission teams from churches serve Monday through Friday, providing their own lodging and  all the materials they need to provide the programs.

Each evening they invite families to a picnic shelter in the campground. There, for about 45 minutes, the families have fun and hear the gospel presented in a clear, conversational, casual  way.

Some favorite activities during a family evening program are "carnivals", such as the one pictured at the top of this page. Other popular programs are board games, karaoke, trivia, theme nights, watermelon feeds and hotdog cookouts.
